My Approach to Naturopathy
Your body was made by design ... & designed to win! Before your body shows any signs of disease, your body will do everything it possibly can to compensate to correct the imbalance until it gets to the stage where it can no longer cope and then you start experiencing symptoms of this failure.
I specialise in MTHFR and scientifically based complete health analysis to identify what's really going on to establishing the underlying sub-clinical defects which often occur even before disease is clinically recognised as well as working with the diet and I promote LCHF (low carbohydrate and healthy fat diet). I calculate the carb, fat and protein requirements for your body's needs.
If needed I do blood, urine and genetic testing which tells me exactly how your body is trying to compensate. It's not just a matter of looking at each test result, I go much further than this and look at the relationship between each marker and how it affects the other. This also gives me a clearer picture of what health risks you are heading towards, such as Diabetes, Heart, Kidney, Auto-immune or Liver Disease, Thyroid or Adrenal insufficiency, Cancer or Arthritis risk, Bone or Oral Health, Depression, Anxiety and Emotional Stress just to name a few.
50% of the population have a change in genetic sequence which predisposes you to conditions such as Depression, Anxiety, Stress, issues with Conception, Frequent Miscarriages, Early Termination, Behavioural Disorders such as ADD, ADHD, Out Bursts of Anger, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Bulimia and Addictive Behaviours such as Alcohol, Drugs, Gambling and Smoking. Allergy related conditions are also seen such as Asthma, Hay Fever, Eczema, Other Allergic Conditions and Skin Conditions. We also see conditions such as Heart Disease, Gout, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Late Speech Onset in children or Bed Wetting, Cancer, Obesity, PCOS and Endometriosis, Migraines, Weight and Fat Metabolism Issues are also implicated.
With genetic testing we can determine if any of the above conditions may be a risk factor for you, or determine the cause of your current symptoms or condition. With this knowledge I can give you the specific supplements which will help to correct these imbalances with many clients reporting that they have not felt this good in a long time.
I also evaluate if there may be any underlying dental pathology which can have an enormous impact on your health. I also look at what toxic load you may be burdened with, such as Mercury or other Heavy Metals or Solvents, Pesticides and Petrochemicals.
If pathology suggests that dental work needs to be carried out, then this is discussed with you and we then work very closely with our dentist to ensure that the correct detox protocols are completed at crucial times during your treatment and ensures that no stone is left unturned.
Testing takes "what I think" out of the equation and reveals an exact picture of where your health status is at, and I can give your body what it needs. Our protocols put your body into the best possible position, to optimise its ability to correct these imbalances and return to optimum health, or where damage has already been done it can slow/stop the progression.
We often don't realise the extent of what we put in our mouth and how it affects our health.
For instance, you are out working in the garden and hurt your back (i.e. muscular strain), you have carried out the same work in your garden many times before and have not hurt yourself in the past but now every time you go out into the garden you find yourself in pain. This muscle strain is just the symptom of what is really going on. It's "the straw that broke the camel's back" ... pardon the pun.
More than likely, poor diet and lack of exercise over many years has left you with your tissues and muscles becoming weak. Our tissues, muscles and tendons etc hold our bones together and give us our shape, enabling us to stand and walk and everything else that we do. Collectively these tissues are referred to as connective tissue, and the breakdown or weakening of these is generally due to poor diet. This poor diet causes underlying imbalances such as pH Imbalance, Anaerobic Tendencies, Chronic Inflammation and Oxidative Stress. Add in a lack of exercise and most likely poor protein status as well, leaving your body vulnerable and a muscle injury which was bound to happen.
Connective tissue breakdown also occurs as we age, however we can make the worst or best of our circumstances with the way we live our lives and the nutrition, or lack thereof, that we feed our body. You may be eating plenty of protein but is your body digesting or utilising it correctly? Diet and exercise can play a major role here in strengthening the tissues and muscles to be able to cope with such events. You just have to look at a healthy child who can move, lift, twist, jump and generally do not have any issues with back problems.
Correcting our diet and fixing the underlying cause can greatly strengthen the body's ability to cope with stresses which are placed on it. So think about your exercise and diet regime it could be the cause of your condition.
I would like to stress here that I don't diagnose, treat or cure anything. Instead, I give your body the environment it needs to heal itself.
As a Health-Care Practitioner the one most important thing that I would love is for you to improve all areas of your life by your association with me.
I would cherish your acquaintance and I hope you enjoy meeting me.
Sincerely, Monika Webb
